Operation Roaring Lion – Day Four Update
I’m back here to provide you with another update:
As we conclude the fourth day of Operation Roaring Lion, I want to provide an update on the significant developments that have taken place over the past 24 hours.
Operation Roaring Lion was launched with a clear objective: to strike the Iranian regime and remove the existential threats it poses to the State of Israel. This is not an operation of choice. It is an operation of necessity.
The Mission Continues:
Since the start of the operation, Israeli Air Force pilots have carried out approximately 1,600 strike sorties across Iran, deploying roughly 4,000 munitions. Over the past 24 hours alone, hundreds of Israeli Air Force fighter jets and aircraft conducted more than 300 consecutive waves of strikes.
In both Tehran and Beirut, we simultaneously struck hundreds of targets and strategic assets belonging to the Iranian axis, continuing to dismantle and deepen the blow to the core systems of the Iranian terrorist regime.
Several hours ago, the IDF struck and dismantled the regime’s secret nuclear compound known as “Minzadehei.” At this site, a covert group of nuclear scientists operated in secrecy to advance the knowledge and capabilities necessary to obtain nuclear weapons.
The Intelligence Directorate monitored and mapped efforts to restore nuclear weapons development infrastructure and transfer activities into secret bunkers. Based on that intelligence, the Air Force is now striking these headquarters across Tehran, preventing the regime from rebuilding its pathway to nuclear weapons.
Targeting Command and Proxies
We also conducted a precise strike in the heart of Tehran targeting BG Daoud Ali Zadeh, a senior Quds Force commander and head of the Lebanon Corps. He was responsible for directing Hezbollah attacks against Israel in order to shield Tehran’s interests—at the expense of Lebanon and its citizens.
Following this operation, IDF Arabic-language spokesperson COL Avichay Adraee issued a clear warning: the IDF will not tolerate the presence of representatives of the Iranian terror regime operating within Lebanese territory. Remaining representatives have 24 hours to depart before being targeted.
Today, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that there will be no immunity for anyone acting against Israeli civilians. This message applies across every arena in the Middle East.
We have also seen escalation from Hezbollah, including rockets fired toward central Israel. We have taken the necessary defensive and operational steps in response. Israel will not allow its civilians to become bargaining chips in Iran’s regional strategy.
Our Objective Remains Clear
This operation is directed at the Iranian regime and its military and terror infrastructure — not at the Iranian people. Our actions are precise, intelligence-driven, and focused on removing threats before they can materialize.
We did not seek this confrontation. But we will not allow a regime that openly calls for our destruction, builds the tools to carry it out, and activates proxies across the region to operate without consequence.
We will continue to act with precision, determination, and responsibility to defend the State of Israel and its citizens.
As for me, I’ll keep you informed, providing updates here as the situation develops.
Stay strong and stay safe,
LTC Nadav Shoshani
IDF Spokesperson for International Media
