After 12 days —276 hours— of unprecedented work, Operation “Rising Lion” has come to an end.
After one of the boldest and most decisive operations in the history of the State of Israel - Operation “Rising Lion” - we achieved, and even exceeded, our goals and objectives of this operation.
The blow we struck to the Iranian nuclear weapons program, their ballistic missile program, their military leadership, and their sprawling military complex solely focused on the destruction of Israel was deeply impactful.
We can sleep better knowing that, for now, this immediate, existential threat has been severely degraded.
A snapshot of some of our operational achievements:
We operated freely 1,500km from Israel in wide areas across Iran— with aerial superiority and real-time intelligence.
Multiple components of Iran’s military nuclear program were struck and degraded.
Approximately 50% of Iran’s missile launchers were dismantled, along with hundreds of ballistic missiles.
Over 30 commanders were eliminated alongside multiple nuclear scientists.
These achievements are a culmination of years of planning, tight integration between our different branches, directorates, and divisions, all working in unison to thwart an existential threat to the State of Israel.
However, this success come at a heavy price, as 28 people were killed and hundreds more were injured due to the indiscriminate firing of ballistic missiles into civilian-populated areas.
While our achievements are far and wide, having severely weakened an enemy who has chanted for our death and destruction for decades, we cannot forget that this war is not over.
We are reminded why this war began in the first place.
We are charged with the moral imperative of returning our 50 hostages still being held by Hamas, who were taken from their homes and families during the dark day that started this all. We remember the 1200+ people—parents, siblings, and children—massacred. And we must continue to operate anywhere needed to ensure our citizens can sleep without having to fear that this might happen again.
Because we, as the IDF, are entrusted with confronting every threat to the State of Israel, near and far.
The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, summarized our operations in the video bellow:
The IDF has had the privilege of leading through times of profound historic significance. We’ve witnessed the weakening of a force of pure evil. We stand with those who have suffered loss at its hands. Through it all, we remain steadfast in our ongoing fight to defend Israeli civilians.

Until next time,

How about some acknowledgement for the help of the Almighty ? It is usual, without exception, that in operations of this complexity and size and at such an extended range, that something goes wrong and there are casualties and losses on the attacking side. Not this time. Give credit to all concerned ?
It is a Jewish custom that when a person or people escape a life threatening situation, especially when the rescue is unexpectedly good or apparently miraculous, one shows gratitude and gives thanks by a donation to a charity or another good cause. This can be done by the beneficiary or a family member or simply one person for another.
