If this report does not cause an outcry by the Palestinian citizens on how Hamas is neglecting its own citizens by focusing on the destruction of Israel and its people then nothing will change in Gaza nor anywhere else. Everywhere there are demonstrations against Israel as the IDF continues to remain committed to the destruction of Hamas but where are the protests against Hamas for their barbarous actions?? Is the world so blinded that they fail to recognize that if Hamas is successful it would not be the end??? The question is who will be the next victim of this madness by Hamas or any other terror organization????

I pray every night for Israel, for those who lost loved ones, for the IDF and it’s mission, and yes, even those Palestinians who are suffering from this crisis are against this war and what brought it on. May God have mercy on us all and give us not only strength but also wisdom to overcome this evil.

This absurdity i have a hard time understanding since 7th. Why is it that the free palestine demonstrations (at least not very visible) aren't criticizing but even endorsing hamas, there are people who tear down posters of hostages - all this goes beyond any rational common sense.

Then other "small" places in the word come to mind which are very very prosperous and think, this could be palestine if hate was gone... and those that endorse hamas and its actions are depriving the very people they claim to stand for off prosperity as well as endorsing the suffering of others.

Dont know how to put it in better words. The whole situation makes very little sense looking at the big picture - isreal and palestine could be prosperous yet some chose unspeakable horrors as their "goal" and find people who blindly, knowing or unknowingly support it.

To the Arab world singing Chanukkah songs from mosques is outrageous. Keeping a terror class while conducting prayers in a place of worship is ........ well some one tells me because I have no more words to express my own outrage!

Thank you for an excellent summary report. Lifting in prayer the hostages, their families, military personnel, and Israel.

Very interesting article at the end. I will research to read more about the topic. Thank you for sharing.

Great update as always thank you. The discovery of this and previous tunnels poses some very serious questions for international aid agencies who have provided aid money. This should have been spent on Gazan civilians... surely they would keep track of how this money was being spent?

Good luck to the 2 new members of your team! Certainly this war does require a focused mind and is harnessing tech to such an advanced degree daily - the Iron Dome a case in point, what a blessing.

Yes I have just shared this briefing with a local TV station. Mazal Tov to the new members. Assure them of how much we appreciate these briefings. I agree with your welcoming gift - a book - for me a perfect gift always.

I have also watched the video of IDF soldiers tending to a 4 year old girl's cuts on her tiny feet when she was sent by Hamas into a war zone. Is there an end to their atrocities? Is it me or only baby girls and small girls who are repeatedly put into danger's way? I could be a bit sensitive since I only have nieces.

This key article about the Humanitarian Crossing demonstrates how HAMAS is a terror state whose subjects are prisoners of their own government.

Basically there is zero civilian infrastructure in Gaza. I mean before Hamas started the war. I feel after reading this that the war was inevitable. The build up was too great.

Question: Can the Hamas terrorists who surrendered, play a role in explorating the remaining tunnels in search of the remaining hostages.

Somehow bound, Equiped with tech and followed by IDF ?

Thanks for writing to us, Colonel Hecht. I enjoy reading your updates. I read an interesting blog recently that you might find worth a three minute read. It doesn't paint the happiest picture, I'm afraid, but I think he is a person with substantial experience. Warm regards.

I would like to express some deep felt feelings about anti-semitism not just for what is happening now but for always.

I never could reconcile myself with anti-semitism.

I find it insults my intelligence if it comes from academia and pseudo-science.

I find it disturbing and attribute it to ignorance if I hear it in the streets.

But I find it most offensive and makes me question my own faith if it comes from any one of my religious leaders (I am non-Jewish, non-Muslim) especially at this special time of the year when we are all supposed to be celebrating the birth of a particular special Jewish baby from a particularly special Jewish family long time ago in Betlehem,

and that is why I can never accept anti-semitism from anyone or anywhere!

Wishing you all my heartfelt best wishes for good health and safety whatever your belief.
